Augusta Bridge
 

The log cabin is another icon of our pioneer past.  The Alaskan homestead cabin is perhaps the quintessential example of the genre.  A remote location, coupled with the snows of deep winter and the Northern Lights playing overhead evokes an image of a hardy pioneering family.

The Lights of Home
  
Hangar No. 1 is a designated historical landmark.  It has seen service at Ladd Army Airfield in Fairbanks, Alaska since World War II.  It was instrumental in the lend-lease program with Russia with hundreds of aircraft processed through the facility.  It is still in active use today.
